ACCESS is a podcast about abortion by journalist Garnet Henderson. ACCESS answers the questions you were afraid to ask about abortion in America, and some you never knew you had.
According to the Guttmacher Institute, an estimated one in four women will have an abortion in her lifetime, as well as trans men and nonbinary people whose experiences are not captured in such statistics. However, due to abortion stigma, few are accustomed to talking about it openly. As a result, many people are familiar with abortion as a subject of heated political debate but lack the basic information they need to understand the nuances of that debate. ACCESS bridges this gap, going straight to the source and providing crucial context behind the headlines.
This narrative reported podcast takes listeners inside clinics and brings them real, first-person abortion stories. It will also introduce abortion providers, leading researchers, and legal experts. Each episode tackles a different topic, breaking down complicated issues in an accessible and human way.
I designed Access’s logo and identity, as well as merch for the podcast.
